The party composed of 23 university students and business people from Philippine and Myanmar came to Japan to learn Japanese language and culture. GWY held Jenesys exchanging program whose purpose was promoting understanding of Japan. This program is one of the international exchanging programs promoted by Japanese government targeting Asian pacific regions. This program aims at developing understanding of Japan and expanding Japan's diplomatic base through human exchange.
The delegation stayed in Gifu prefecture from Oct 16 to 20th. Their visits included courtesy call to prefectural government, Miwa sake brewery, experiencing Japanese sweets making and tea ceremony, participating exchange activity in Gifu university. They also experienced home staying proram for three days which helped them to learn more about Japan.
